From Earth (2025) is a spatial, sculptural, and tactile installation crafted from stoneware clay and stainless steel, created by Malmö-based artists, architects, and spatial designers Johanna Jonsson (Polymorf) and My Comét (Studio My Comét).

Inspired by archaic monuments and mythologies, the work reinterprets ancient stories and symbols through a contemporary lens. It invites reflection on how future generations might perceive our present, using the past as a mirror for imagining tomorrow.

Combining material exploration with symbolic depth, From Earth serves as a quiet reminder of our place on this planet. Its form encourages visitors to move with care and humility, contemplating the interdependence of humanity, nature, and time.

The work also explores the intersection of digital fabrication and craft. Where the dialogue between digital and material is a crucial part in the becoming of the work. It is shaped and drawn by hand, then digitised, 3D-printed, laser cut, and finally completed through tactile craftsmanship: hand-refined clay surfaces and hand-engraved metal components.

The installation is designed and produced in Malmö for Media Evolution Center and Dark Matter Labs.

A special thanks to KPMV AB and Jörgen Andersen for their support in cutting and bending the metal parts.
